Racing History
I started my racing career by building and racing my own Stock Car at Saugus Speedway in Newhall, California and Ascot Park in Gardena, California. After completing my tour of duty in Vietnam in 1968 I moved to the CRA sprint car series and earned "Rookie of the Year" honors in 1969.
In 1973 I packed up my belongings and my Dad's Sprint car and moved with my wife to Indianapolis to pursue my dream of racing in the Indianapolis 500. For 10 years I raced all over the Mid-West and on the East Coast in USAC Sprint Cars, Dirt Cars and Midget Cars. All the while working as a constructor of all types of race cars, Indy Cars, Sprint Cars, Champ Dirt Cars, Modified Cars and Midgets.

In 1979 I was asked to drive the "Jet Rod" a Roadster type Sprint Car. On one weekend I won three races in a row at Winchester, Indiana on the High banked 1/2-mile speedway. I set records at all of the pavement tracks in the Mid-West with this car and some still stand today. I won five races in 1980 and was fast qualifier in three races. I finished in second place in the championship. An unfortunate engine failure in the last race of the year cost me the championship.

In 1983 I began my association with the Genesee Beer team owned By Dick Hammond from Buffalo, New York and managed by Galen Fox from Indianapolis. I drove all of the "Genesee Beer Wagon" cars for them, Sprint, Champ Dirt, and the Indy cars. I finished the 1983 Indy 500 in 11th position. I had many top ten finishes with our Chevrolet Stock Block powered car. I set the one and four lap qualifying records at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for a normally aspirated Push Rod Stock Block in 1985. In 1984 I won the prestigious "Hoosier Hundred" Dirt car race that is considered the Indy 500 for Dirt Cars.

During the last few months of 1996 I built the Lola import and distribution facility in Indianapolis, I purchased all of the equipment, set up the business and hired all personnel. For the year of 1997 I served as the Managing Director of the North American Lola sales and distribution facility.
The year of 1998 found me devoting all of my energy and time to the Motorsports Insurance business that I now own and operate.
